François Joanette

Former Chief Data Officer at BMO & Former Senior Partner at McKinsey

Francois is an investor in early stage fintech and analytics companies. Francois was the former Chief Data Officer at BMO where he led a series of transformations to its data technology infrastructure and introduced new capabilities to drive revenue, streamline costs, and manage risk. Before BMO, Francois was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company where he served market leaders in North America and Europe and was a leader in its Financial Services Practice and Business Technology Office. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Francois was a Lecturer at the Wharton School and a Research Associate of the Pension Research Council.

He holds a master and Ph.D. degrees in managerial economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Sc. from Laval University.
